Gallagher Bassett to Present at CLM Workers' Compensation Conference

Gallagher Bassett is proud to present at the 2019 CLM Workers' Compensation Conference in Chicago.  This CLM Conference draws workers' compensation leaders from across the industry and from around the country.  The three-day conference will take place at the Westin River North from May 21 - May 23.  Gallagher Bassett will present several times throughout the conference.

On Wednesday, May 22, Caryn Siebert, VP of Carrier Practice, will join a team of experts to present, "Workers' Compensation in the Age of Technology."  The session takes place from 10:45 a.m. to 11:45 a.m.  This panel will will focus on how technology can be used to monitor employee performance and safety, enhance post-injury care, and create additional opportunities for employees to return to work. We will also examine various issues and barriers, such as privacy, from both the employer and the injured worker point of view.

That afternoon, Mark Lechowicz, GB's Chief Compliance Officer, will present on the topic of "Disaster Recovery in Workers' Compensation." The session will run from 2:30 p.m. through 3:30 p.m. n this engaging session, Mark and his fellow panelists will discuss work-related injury considerations before and after a disaster strikes, ideas for strategic disaster planning, and regulatory considerations during disaster recovery.

At the same time, GB's Director of Communications, Gregory McKenna, will present, "That Can't be Right - Addressing Diagnoses and Treatments."  This panel of expert will discuss how to identify and respond to requests for controversial treatments that remain standard practice despite the fact that research shows they do not improve outcomes and will likely do more harm than good. Hear about outcome-based approaches involving ancillary providers. Participate in a discussion about how to advocate treatments that are not only more cost effective for the employer/carrier but are more likely to result in better outcomes and improved function for the injured worker.

Finally, at 4 p.m. on May 22, GB Manager of Talent and Development, Bradley Gronke will speak to "PTSD Claims from First Responders."  This panel of workers’ compensation professionals will give you real world takeaways for dealing with this complex health care are rehabilitation issue.
