GB Supports Kids’ Chance Awareness Week
Nov 12, 2018

Gallagher Bassett is a proud corporate sponsor of Kids’ Chance of America.  Kids’ Chance provides educational opportunities and scholarships for the children of workers seriously injured or killed on the job. They believe that by investing in our children’s future, we can provide them with the tools and opportunity to be successful in the workplace, so that they can make a difference in their own and other people’s lives.  Kids’ Chance organizations have awarded over 6,500 scholarships across the country, totally over $20,000,000.

Kids’ Chance Awareness week runs Nov. 12-16, 2018.

What Makes Kids’ Chance Awareness Week Special?

In 2017, scholarship applications increased significantly but we know there are more students in need of assistance.  Kids’ Chance Awareness Week is designed to increase visibility through special outreach events in each state that will spread the word about Kids’ Chance scholarship opportunities. In its fourth year, the week also serves to tap into the following we’ve built to advocate for the organization.

There are currently 39 Kids’ Chance state organizations with several additional states in the planning stages. The goal is to improve our state organizations so that all eligible students can access scholarship assistance. Find out if there’s a Kids’ Chance in your state.

In order to help in that goal, Kids’ Chance established the national Planning for the Future initiative. Through this initiative, Kids’ Chance helps industry professionals identify families of injured workers with children who are not yet of college age and get them connected to Kids’ Chance. That way, when the time comes, they can be connected to their state organization to apply for a scholarship. If you or someone you know is eligible for a Kids’ Chance scholarship, please contact them via their Planning for the Future form.
