Oct 23, 2020

Gallagher Bassett is the winner of the coveted TPA of the Year award for the third time in as many years at the US Captive Review Awards 2020 on October 7th.

“Our claims efforts and dedication to the captive practice have been recognized again!.  We have successfully won the US Captive Award for TPA of the year for the third time because of our team approach to the Captive book of business.  Each Resolution Manager, Supervisor, Branch Manager, Account Manager and Account Assistant should take great pride in this accomplishment, “ says Gordon Padera, Executive Vice President. “Our dedicated efforts, care, compassion and innovation to deliver superior outcomes for our members and their employees -  that’s what separates us from the competition,”

GB's growth is a source of pride for the organization. We continue to see our growth increase by 8%,organic year over year for the past 5 years. On average, we see an addition of 230 group captive members per year. Our skilled captive claims operations team has grown to 410 Resolution Managers with carefully controlled inventories. Gallagher Bassett has been handling claims for our group captive partners since 1994. Since then, 32 group captives have been added to our business segment, with four new captives added in 2019.

“The ability to serve the captive community is the result of many things including trust, maintaining good relationships with business partners, and most importantly, having a world class team behind you, delivering a quality, impactful service to those who have suffered a loss.  Nothing happens without the highest level of customer service and superior outcomes delivered by our Resolution Managers, Claim Supervisors, Leadership Team, and Client Service Account Managers,” says Amy O’Brien, National Sales Director.

At Gallagher Bassett, we focus on innovation and staying ahead of competition. We introduced new technology, increased care, and cost management to the captive clients. Luminos is Gallagher Bassett's award winning RMIS tool, powered by Origami Risk, and opens a world of modern user experience to program analytics. Recognizing the need to have unfettered access to their claims data, we initiated a broad training program specifically for our Captive clients.

Our captive partners have embraced GBLMP, our litigation management solution, which enhances oversight of defense expenditures. GBLMP enables automated assignment, budgeting, invoicing and review of legal expenses, providing maximum ROI to captive members.

Gallagher Bassett shortlisted in multiple categories, including Emerging Talent (Josh Zelnis & Joe Hatcher), Service Professional of the Year (Amy O’Brien), Next Gen Initiative and Software Solution (LegalScore).

Padera couldn’t be prouder of this repeat win, and he is quick to point out that the people who power the program make the difference.  “On behalf of GB’s Executive Committee, Captive Practice Group, captive members and injured employees, a sincere thank you to our client-facing teams for a job well done.”
