Gallagher Bassett is proud to attend and present at this year’s CLM Midwest Conference June 20-21. The CLM is the largest professional association in the insurance industry with more than 45,000 professionals in the claims resolution and litigation management industries.
The CLM Midwest offers sessions in four tracks — Transportation, Product Liability, Religious & Non-Profit, and Claims/Litigation Management.
The CLM Midwest Conference will be held in Chicago, Illinois.
On Thursday, June 20, at 4:30 a.m., Ileshia Smith, Supervisor, Claims, will present a critical session called, “Managing Sexual Discrimination and Harassment Claims in the ‘Me Too Era’” in the Religious & Non-Profit track. Today - more than ever - religious and nonprofit organizations and their employees are at risk for claims of sexual discrimination and harassment in violation of federal employment laws. The "Me Too" movement has brought this issue into the national spotlight. Claim professionals must be prepared to manage these claims against this backdrop. At this session, claim professionals will learn: 1) how to properly evaluate sexual harassment/discrimination claims; 2) how to identify the critical factors to consider in determining whether to settle or take a case to verdict; and, 3) loss prevention/best practices strategies.
On Friday, June 21, at 9:45 a.m., Bradley Gronke, Talent Acquisition & Development Manager, Claims, will present an engaging session called, “Being an Expert, When it Comes to Finding an Expert” in the Claims/Litigation Management track. This presentation will discuss the difficulties associated with the search for a scientific or engineering expert, as well as how to find the most appropriate person, or team for the job.
