Kristy Sands and panelists John Dahlberg; Bob Dring; Mary McGurn (Gallagher Bassett); Heidi Strommen will present on the panel "Uninvited Behavior". Homeless, drug addicts, panhandlers and criminals are the uninvited guest for restaurants and retailers resulting in loss of business, claims of discrimination, false arrest, bodily injury or work comp and put your brand reputation at risk. This panel forms a unique makeup, bringing together a lawyer and former police officer, a risk manager, insurance and claims professional. These panelists will discuss the duty owed to these individuals and how you can help mitigate the impact they have on your properties. From prevention strategies regarding the physical condition of your property to working with local police and government officials to protect your customers and workers especially when behavior becomes aggressive. The panelists will also examine the importance of training your workers on tactics to mitigate potential claims and suggested protocols for claims management.
