Gallagher Bassett, the industry leader in integrated risk management solutions and demonstrably superior outcomes, is proud to share the hiring of Greg Perruzzi, Senior Vice President – Construction Vertical Leader.

In this newly created role, Greg will be responsible for ensuring the integration, evolution, promotion, and outcomes demonstration of Gallagher Bassett’s industry leading construction claims and risk management solutions. Greg’s expertise is multi-faceted, with a particular focus in casualty insurance programs and captives. Greg has been providing creative solutions to some of the largest construction management and real-estate development clients for over 20 years.

Greg will report to Gallagher Bassett’s CEO-North America, Mike Hessling. “Greg has a demonstrated track record of reducing frequency and cost of risk for top-tier construction management organizations through integrated pre and post-loss solutions,” Mr. Hessling shared. “We are excited to have Greg join our team and bring his deep, industry-specific expertise to our clients, carriers, and broker partners. Greg’s hiring reflects our ongoing commitment and investment to better serve the construction industry.”

Prior to joining GB, Greg was the VP Risk Management for a $2B NY based Construction Management Enterprise, which included Hunter Roberts and Urban Atelier Group.  In this capacity, he held a variety of leadership roles including underwriting operations, carrier/brokerage relationships and loss prevention programs. In addition, he was instrumental in the creation of all casualty and surety captive programs. Before this role, he was the Director of Construction Risk Management for Related, responsible for leading all insurance, claims and loss prevention on its national development pipeline. Most notably, he was directly responsible for the creation and execution of risk management programs for Hudson Yards, the largest private development in North American history. Perruzzi was also the Risk Manager for Turner Construction with accountability for all insurance and risk management across its two largest business operations in the Northeast United States and International.

Greg has a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics with a minor in Mathematics from Rutgers University in New Brunswick, NJ.
