Our Office Reopening Plans
Apr 5, 2022

We are excited to announce our office reopening plans that will go into effect on April 18, 2022. As always, our commitment to ensuring a safe and healthy environment for our employees remains our top priority, and we’ll continue to follow CDC and local authorities for guidance in doing so.

“We’ve taken into consideration the varying and complex needs of our clients, market-specific demands, our employees’ desire for greater flexibility, and the importance of onboarding, mentorship, and cultural immersion for new employees in the design of our new varied-work model,” says Mike Hessling, CEO, North America.

First, we’ve designated larger operating hubs throughout the country to serve as recruiting and training centers of excellence. There, we’ll onboard, train, and provide ongoing support and mentorship to our industry talent as part of our unwavering commitment to developing the next generation of claims professionals.

GB’s hub locations will be led by seasoned Gallagher Bassett leaders and cultural torchbearers who will have a day-to-day hand in helping to develop the next generation of claims professionals. To support the evolution of these hubs, we’ve expanded our team of recruiters, mentors, and technical trainers. Our hubs will be located in the following cities:

  • Orlando, FL
  • Atlanta, GA
  • Rolling Meadows, IL
  • St. Peters, MO
  • Syracuse, NY
  • Oklahoma City, OK
  • Mechanicsburg, PA

Beyond the hubs, our strategic office locations across the US will address the needs of our clients and demonstrate our commitment to a physical office presence in specific markets. These offices will serve as a place for employees to utilize in-office space as an alternative to remote work environments, as needed or ongoing.  Our strategic offices will be located in the following areas:

  • Little Rock, AR
  • Phoenix, AZ
  • Folsom, CA
  • Ontario, CA
  • East Hartford, CT
  • Miami, FL
  • Downers Grove, IL
  • Honolulu, HI
  • Boise, ID
  • Baton Rouge, LA
  • Boston, MA
  • Baltimore, MD
  • Kansas City, MO
  • Burlington, NJ (Philly)
  • Las Vegas, NV
  • Portland, OR

As we announced in 2021, we’ve enabled a larger portion of our Claims Operation team members, who swiftly acclimated to working from home in 2020, to continue working remotely on a permanent basis.

“We introduced this way of working more than a decade ago in order to prioritize our employees’ needs, provide space for individuals to balance their personal aspirations while building a meaningful career, and attract and retain top talent without geographical constraints—all while providing tools to help managers lead and set expectations in this flexible environment. The result: delivering consistent world-class service to our clients. Although it was a bold move in our industry, we soon recognized that it was a successful and highly productive way of working,” says Ajay Sinha, Executive Vice President, Claims Operation.

We listened, and we’ve learned a lot over the last two years. Based on what we’ve learned, we continue to make major investments in various areas to transition from enabling flexible work to creating best-in-class flexible and varied-work environments. “We have the best and brightest talent at Gallagher Bassett, and we want to continue to attract and retain employees that are empowered to address challenges head on, deliver superior client services, and demonstrate impactful outcomes for those suffering a loss,” says Hessling.
