Suzanne McCarthy has been promoted to Senior Vice President of Carrier Client Services. An industry professional with over 30 years of experience, Suzanne served in claims management positions with Crawford & Co. and Kemper Insurance before joining Gallagher Bassett and assuming various leadership roles in claims operations and account management over the past 18 years for both the risk management and carrier business segments. She is excited to work with the talented team to expand the carrier marketplace, drive superior outcomes, and further build relationships with carrier partners.

Most recently, Suzanne served as VP of Carrier Client Services where she was responsible for the management and development of Gallagher Bassett’s carrier direct business on assigned carrier accounts. This included strategic development and performance management of insurance carrier partnerships in conjunction with a dedicated group of Client Service Management professionals. Suzanne has been very successful in managing partnership relationships, ensuring quality excellence, and providing exceptional service experiences for her carrier clients. This included direct service management and improved experience for our key scale carrier partners.

Over the years, Suzanne has successfully led several key initiatives for GB and, most recently, served as the Mentorship Chair for GB’s Inclusion, Diversity and Equity program where she was responsible for expanding the Include@GB mentorship program to develop a strong internal GB network identifying the next generation of leaders. About the program, she says, “We want to open up the opportunities for everyone in our organization. It’s figuring out how to help people grow and be successful without leaving anyone behind.”

GB’s emphasis on culture is why Suzanne stays. In her new role, she hopes to grow the business and continue building the people-oriented environment at GB. “It comes down to the people I work with,” she says. “It seems like every year we get better and stronger and more united.”

“It’s been a really amazing journey so far,” Suzanne says as she reflects on her career. “I’m looking forward to what the future holds, and I feel very privileged to be able to continue growing in my career with the same organization.”

Suzanne will oversee all Client Services for our Carrier business segment and report directly to Joe Berrios as the leader of our Carrier Client Services Practice.
