Idalia is forecast to strengthen and make landfall along Florida’s Gulf Coast by Wednesday as a major hurricane. This has prompted hurricane and storm surge warnings to be posted for portions of Florida, as well as tropical storm watches for the Atlantic coast of northern Florida and Georgia. Most computer models suggest that Idalia will move northward, tracking through Georgia and the Carolinas on Thursday.
