Gallagher Bassett will sponsor, attend, and present at the 2018 Atlanta RIMS Educational Conference on February 21st and 22nd in Atlanta.

Established in 1957 with 13 founding companies, the Atlanta Chapter of the Risk and Insurance Management Society (RIMS) has grown to a membership of more than one hundred member companies. Since 1984, the Atlanta Chapter has hosted annual regional risk management educational conferences. The proceeds from the regional conferences allow the chapter to contribute scholarship funds both to the National Spencer Educational Foundation and to local university risk management programs at the University of Georgia, Georgia State University, and Georgia Southern University.  This year’s day and a half event will be held at the Westin Atlanta Perimeter North.

Gallagher Bassett will be joined by WCD Group, acquired in 2018, during the conference. Scott Hudson, President and CEO of Gallagher Bassett says, "WCD Group’s extensive knowledge of environmental, safety and health issues combined with decades of expertise in the real estate, construction, remediation, property management and insurance industries, and a thorough understanding of claims and litigation, will be a welcome addition and a perfect fit into the GB family to help enhance and grow our loss control and risk management business. We are looking to WCD to become the environmental platform that will be able to provide highly specialized and necessary services to our global customers." This expertise will be drawn on during the educational session.

GB’s Greg McKenna will join Chris Spicer of WCD Group, Brad Reese of Asbury Automotive Group, and Kevin Moss of Michelin for an engaging session titled "Protect this Space - From the Soil Below to the Stars Above" at 10:30 A.M., Thursday, February 21, 2019.  The panelists will discuss various emerging environmental risk affecting property interests and the protection of employees and will provide leading examples of how risk managers can and should account for the risks associated with for some of the largest and most important elements on their corporate balance sheets.

Please let us know if you will be at the conference.  We look forward to seeing you in Atlanta.
